The media company Bergens Tidende

Bergens Tidende is the largest media company on the Western coast of Norway. The daily newspaper Bergens Tidende, founded in 1868, is the flagship publication of the company. Today Bergens Tidende media company has grown into a multi-product, multi-channel news and information leader.

The newspaper Bergens Tidende is published seven days a week in compact format. The company also operates one of Norway’s most successful internet services bt.no. The media businesses within the Bergens Tidende group reach approximately 70 per cent of the adult population in greater Bergen area – daily.

The head offices are situated in Bergen – Norway’s second largest city.

The Bergens Tidende group has approximately 220 employees. The group’s total revenues exceeds NOK 700 000 000.

Advertisers

Bergens Tidende is the advertising outlet in Western Norway, and the local market leader for important advertising markets such as real estate, travel, recruitment, travel and cars.

Circulation/readers

In Norway Bergens Tidende has the largest number of subscribers outside Oslo, in addition to newsstand sales. The media house has 312,000 daily readers across all channels. The circulation of the newspaper is 73.640 daily copies (2014).
